News: The calendar for April at the Shrine is quite full as you can see. My prayer  as Lent comes to an end, and we approach Holy week, we will be focused on the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The Church in her wisdom recommends to the faithful in a special way during Holy week to immerse oneself in meditating on the suffering of Our Lord Jesus Christ. There are many good books and devotions that assist in helping us do this. I suggest we find one suited to our schedule, and put it to practice.  This is a wonderful time of year when we transition from winter to spring in anticipation of the Resurrection of Our Lord.  We witness the physical world go through a rebirth as we experience a Spiritual awakening after the darkness of our Lenten journey. The symbolism of the season is stark, and full of contrast. Whether we speak of darkness to light, or death to life.  This is the season in which we are reminded of our Baptism and renew once again the promises we profess.  This is another way God uses our senses as a window into the interior life and bestows his blessing on us.  It is also a way that God reminds us that we are his children.  I would like to take this opportunity to wish all your families a blessed Faithful Easter.  And to thank all of you who help keep the shrine going. The shrine will be open with its regular hours during the Holy days and on Easter Sunday so feel free to stop by, say a rosary, light a candle, or just offer up a thanksgiving to our Blessed Mother. You can see the events below for a schedule of what is happening, and remember; Do not offend Our Lord anymore, Who is already much offended.” Our Lady Fatima
