News: There is a lot happening in June at the shrine, the month of the Sacred Heart.  The Feast day falls on First Friday and we will be celebrating at the shrine. (see below) The following day is the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary which we have a special program plan. This happens to be the second Saturday of the month, the First Saturday is on the 1st of June. I hope you can join us. It is with a great deal of sadness for those of you who may not have heard that we lost a dear friend on Mothers Day May 12th. A long time board member and devotee of the shrine, Rita Fernando left us on the eve of the anniversary of Fatima. Rita lined up the priest for the First Saturday’s and Candlelight Processions as well as helped out in many ways. She will be missed, and remembered at the shrine on the First Saturday in June. We had a very well attended Candlelight Procession on May 13th, the anniversary.  Let me remind you of Our Lady’s request to the three children at Fatima at the beginning of every apparition. “I want you to come here on the 13th of next month; pray the rosary everyday.” Let’s  keep that request by attending our next Candlelight Procession on June 13th, the Feast day of St. Anthony.
