NEWS:
The Wuhan virus has created havoc throughout the world. We make it our prayer that God lift this pandemic from our midst and turn things back to normal. In the meantime we believe it important now, that churches have reopened to proceed with our devotional services. We will have the First Saturday Devotion and the Candlelight Procession during June at the shrine. No one is expected to come who may feel compromised by the ongoing virus threat. However we will be taking all precautions and following the guidelines set out for public worship, such as wearing masks, washing hands, using sanitizers, marking off 6ft distancing. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we will open all the sliding doors so people will have the option of sitting outside. I believe it important to move forward with our celebration even it means allot fewer people attending for now. God will provide us with the graces necessary and all those associated with the First Saturday Devotion. Parking will be around the circle, in the parking lot in the back and on Washington St. We have been asked not to park on the road adjacent to the shrine during construction delivery period.
SUNDAY ROSARY:
The Sunday Rosary for peace continues with a small number who have been meeting at the shrine to pray for all those affected by this virus and for all your intentions at 2Pm.
FIRST SATURDAY:
We will be celebrating the First Saturday Mass at the Shrine on June 6th, we look forward to seeing any of you who can come. We asked that you use your own best judgement and stay home if you are sick or may feel compromised because of a pre-existing condition in any way. We asked that you wear masks and keep a healthy social distance from each other. We will have hand sanitizer on hand. Mass will be a 9am, Rev. Paul Pinto C.S.C., PhD will celebrate from the Holy Cross Family Ministries.
THIRD SATURDAY EUCHARISTIC ADORATION:
Because of the virus we will not be having adoration at the shrine on the Third Saturday which is the 16th. However we will have the shrine opened for anyone who wishes to stop by and pray a rosary.
CANDLELIGHT PROCESSION: We do plan on having the June 13th Candle light procession at the shrine. This will be the first candlelight since moving back into the shrine, I hope you can join us. The service begins at 8pm. If for some reason we are not able to meet we will let everyone know.
REMINDER: I wish to thank all of those who have donated a chair in a loved one’s memory. We have now memorialized over half the new chairs that we purchased. We still have a few more, If you would like to donate a chair please contact us. If you would like to make a donation of any kind or remember us in your will, all gifts are tax deductible
