SHRINE NEWS:The month of October is dedicated to the Mother of God, as identified at Fatima during the October appearance as she told them she would. She said; “I am the Lady of the Rosary.” We Catholics not only identify October with the Rosary but as Pro life month as well, and how fitting the connection between the two as we honor Mary as Mother of us all, including the unborn. “Can a woman forget her own baby and not love the child she bore? Even if a mother should forget her child, I will never forget you.” Isaiah 49:15. God wishes to establish devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in the world as a means and refuge for the salvation of all. There are many who have no one to pray for them, many sinners, and souls in jeopardy because of a lack of awareness of the seriousness of the situation we find ourselves in today. The culture and country seems to be in the hands of the Evil one as we witness the errors of Russia that have spread throughout the world. As events unfold there is an Apocalyptic sense of spiritual oppression being applied by a Godless society. However we have in our hands in the form of small beads the remedy presented as a bouquet of Roses as a way to help Our Mother bring us all closer to her son, and to mitigate the hand of God through penance and reparation. Let us join with those consecrated children of Mary and come together to recite the Rosary in reparation for all the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. What better place than the Shrine dedicated to her.
I ask for prayers for a beloved Crusader who was called back to God on September 1st; Mario Taricano died after a brief illness at the age of 91. We will miss him dearly.
“May Mario’s Holy Soul Rest In Peace; A true devotee of Our Blessed Mother
Mario now rests in The Heavenly court, I Pray that his end came peacefully
My Prayers for All as we mourn the loss. “ Helen Jackson
