Dear Crusaders of Fatima,

As summer comes to an end with the month of September, we highlight some special feast that honor Mary beginning with the Birth of Our Lady on the 8th;  The Most Holy Name of Mary on the 12th; The Exaltation of the Holy Cross on the 14th followed by Our Lady of Sorrows on the 15th.  The Archangels St. Michael, St. Gabriel, and St. Raphael on the 29th, followed by the season of the Angles. On the first day of September join us for our First Saturday devotion as we celebrate Our Lady of Penafrancia along with the world day of Prayer for the Care of Creation of which Our Lady is Queen of all Creation.  ‘In crowning the Blessed Virgin as Queen of heaven and earth, God does more than crown His greatest work of grace in a mere human being. The joy and glory that await her children, “those who keep the commandments of God and bear testimony to Jesus,” is also shone forth (Rev 12:17). Saint Josemaria exhorts us: “It is indeed just that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit should crown the Blessed Virgin as Queen and Lady of all created things. With the daring of a child, join in this celebration in Heaven” (cf. The Forge, no. 285).
The St. Gabriel project continues to make progress as the foundation of a new building has emerged from the ground; Parking is available on Washington St., in front of the school/rectory and we have heard that the back parking lot will be opened soon as well.  We ask you to enter the shrine from the stairs on Washington St.  I have posted updated pictures on our website and Facebook page; contact us online at http/www.fatimashrineboston.org, or like us on Facebook.
The Candlelight Procession on September 13th will be held at The Fatima Shrine in Brighton;  We have decided to have the September candlelight at the Shrine, we ask your prayers as we make plans to make sure everything goes well.   We are always looking for volunteers, please let us know if you would be willing to help carry the statue, banner or usher at the candlelight procession;  if you would like to make a financial donation, you can do so at our new address P.O. Box 35854, Brighton MA. 02135, or on our website http/www.fatimashrineboston.org. Improvements are continuing at the shrine;  We are currently looking at replacing the seating with new soft liturgical seating.  This would enhance the circulation and allow us to seat more people, as well as clear up any clutter.
The First Saturday devotions will continue to be held at the Shrine throughout construction, and we apologize for any inconvenience the construction has caused while visiting the shrine.
We would like all of you to know that you are all remembered here at the shrine at all our devotional services.  We ask your prayers for all past members and benefactors of the Crusaders of Fatima.  May they rest in Peace!

The Rev. Peru Dayag, SVD will be presiding at our First Saturday devotion in September, of which we will be celebrating devotion to Our Lady of Penafrancia along with the Filipino community of the greater Boston area, please join us..

The Rev. Richard Mwisheni SVD will officiate at the Candlelight Vigil on the 13th of September at the Shrine.
